Cameron is one of Australia’s most awarded gin distillers and one of the world’s foremost authorities on creating world-class juniper-based spirit. He lives in Healesville in the Yarra Valley where, in addition to his distilling, he is also in charge of more than 100 staff responsible for the making, bottling, distributing, sharing and occasionally drinking of Four Pillars Gin. Cameron came to Four Pillars after a much lauded 15 year career in the Australian wine industry. Before that he had an athletic career that saw him represent Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics in the 4x400m track relay (semi-finalists). In his time at Four Pillars, Cameron has been responsible for the creation and successful execution of every single gin – from the original Rare Dry Gin through to the category-creating Bloody Shiraz Gin, that has spawned dozens of imitators. He has created and made ready-to-drink gins, non-alcoholic spirits and many limited release gins that have played a huge role in shaping the modern Australian distilling industry.
